More specifically, while the vehicle is one of 300,000 that are produced at the plant each year, it happened to be the one-millionth vehicle to pass the final inspection. What makes this feat even more impressive is the fact that  production at the plant only began in 2006. Since, then the LEED-certified factory has managed to continue to meet its production capacity each year, proving that the public's demand for GMC models like it are as hot as ever.

Workers currently cover three shifts to make the 300,000 vehicle per year figure a reality. And, this doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone, including the employees. In fact, those employees are among the most regarded asset of the plant. "Producing the millionth vehicle would not be possible without the great people we have here," says Union chairman, Rick Martinez. "Our employees are highly trained, and we couldn't create the models with such high quality without our people."²
